What are your tasks:
- You coordinate challenging IT projects in the area of network infrastructure
- You are responsible for the operation and further development of the network infrastructure (LAN/WLAN, WAN, VPN, VoIP) and firewall systems (Checkpoint, Cisco, Fortinet), as well as the WAN connection of our customer’s sites
- You monitor and optimize the communication and network services as well as the network and cyber security
- As needed, you perform network analysis and diagnostics to resolve network issues and use network management system tools to determine network load and model performance statistics
- You design innovative solutions and strategies to ensure continuous and highly available network operations and optimize network performance and stability
- You document network infrastructure and processes and create specifications and guidelines for network operations
- You support colleagues with network-related questions
Who you are:
- You hold a degree in computer science, have completed a relevant vocational training or have a comparable professional experience
- You have a strong knowledge and professional experience in network operations and network infrastructure (routing, switching, firewalling, IDS,) as well as good knowledge of Microsoft Server and/or Linux operating systems
- You have good general knowledge of IT infrastructure services and technologies, as well as MS Windows Server and client operations
- Experience with SIEM, VoIP/SIP telephony, VK/ UC systems as well as Cisco certification (CCNA) would be an advantage
- You have a sound knowledge of network security and current security technologies
- You have already gained experience in project management
- You are knowledgeable in the area of monitoring (SNMP, PRTG, …)
- You can communicate well and are a team player
- You work in an independent, analytical and structured way
- You are fluent in German and English and maintain a professional appearance, also when dealing with customers
- You are willing to travel
